howdy strangers

hi

yeah I know this has taken me ages to update sorry. Below are write ups about xmas and boxing day, but first our little mattress pick up escapades last night. We bought a mattress off a girl at my work but the weather has been so bad we haven't been able to pick it up. But the weather was fine yesterday so we headed round to emily's mums place to pick it up. We strapped it to the roof and in doing so had to tie the doors shut so I got in through the back and scott climbed in the drivers window. About half way home the wind started to pick up so we both put an arm out the window and hung on to the handles on the sides of the mattress. Please note that we past a supermarket that had a sign out saying the temperature was -1 degrees!! Yes it was a cold drive home, we must have looked hilarious. When we parked out side the lobby I could hardly unfurl my fingers they were going in slow mo it was crazy. I got out through the window and got the camera (check the link) and then had to untie it so scott could get out. We put it on top of one of the airbeds tonight so i will give you the verdict next entry. And no you won't have to wait a month for the next one!! Well i'm off to bed now catch you guys later
Happy reading the order is a bit up the wop i know i thought chronilogical was best.

love Monique and Scott

Well hope that mattress was worth the hassle!! I am sure it made a change from an air bed. Still very warm here - you guys should be home now getting a tan to show off on your return. Actually it is probably too jolly hot to be out in it too long. Counting the days and hey don't say I have beaten you Linda to the comment column!!! Thanks for the parcel too - not setup yet but will work on it this weekend. Just been watching timelapse segs of Vancouver - very interesting place. Cheers and keep safe. Love Mum and Larry

Hi Guys,
Yes Jill has beaten me this week on the Blog Olympics. We will no doubt have a re run on the next entry posted.
Loved the web cam and have enjoyed seeing you both and of couse it must have been quite magical for you to see Craig and Myself!!!
It makes such a difference seeing the face of the person you are talking to. Especially when it has nearly been a year since you left. I just can't believe it has been that long, it's not that we don't miss you, it is just that time seems to have gone so fast.
Craig and I have been checking out prices for our trip to Canada, hope to beover July-August all going well.
Well must go and serve some customers.
Love you both lots, take care of each other
Mum and Dad

Hi guys,
I bet you were impressed with my lovely looks last night!!!!!
The sun burn doesn't look quite as bad today, it is amazing what a bit of make up can hide. Yesterday I still looked like I was wearing sunglasses when I had taken them off.
I had been reading in the sun and it was obviously a bit more heat in the sun than I thought.
Nice catching up last night, even if we couldn't think of much to say.
Looking forward to seeing you soon.
Love always
Mum and Dad

Hi Monique,
I have just had a chap called Darryl Pyott, in the shop.
He used to see you out at Cicada, he sends his best wishes to you, and wanted to know what you are up to. He had not seen your smiling face around for a while. He has left his phone number with me, and would like to catch up with you when you are home. Seemed a very nice chap, thought you were wonderful and going places. He told me Duncan is not out at Cicada any more, he has a packhouse in Pakuwai Road that he now works out of, and David T is now using the space he used to have.
Well thats the update for today.
Take care, Love you lots
Mum
